Breathe Life Into Your Ideas

With Halloween coming up, I want to share that costumes, props and creativity aren’t just for October 31st. I have a friend who always has ideas; creative, “out-there”, quirky, fun, beautiful ideas! From time to time she has let me help her bring those ideas to life. In this blog, I share more about my friend who’s costume and prop tricks become our visual treat!

This is Elizabeth. The rockstar behind the ideas. She happens to love Elizabethan dresses, antique pieces, wigs, and bubble gum. What would happen if we put all that together? Well, I’m my opinion, some pretty rad, expressive photography!

The first time I did a shoot with her she was engaged and wanted some unique engagement photos. She suggested going to the roller rink. I was up for the challenge. Thank goodness they were the ones in the skates!

OH, and then there was the time with the chickens, which happens to be a hobby of hers. Take that and make it fabulous? Challenge accepted!

Their wedding was one for the books! They had a petting zoo and managed to find a unicorn for the special ceremony. I would expect nothing less than magic from these two! Here are a few of my favorites from their day.

When she tells you she wants to rent time at the Museum to run wild with her ideas, you go! From stairwells to cigar parlors, we captured so many different looks, emotions and vibes in our shoot.

Props! Sometimes the inspiration for photoshoots come from props. The summer flowers were just so beautiful we had to use them. Let’s add some jewelry, a wig and some bubble gum and see what happens! As you can see, we had some fun with it!
