Elaine and Lindsey’s wedding was the quintessential fall wedding. Whenever I think of fall, I immediately think of Weston. Between the gorgeous fall colors, apple orchards and pumpkin farms, it is the mecca for all things Fall in KC. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised when Elaine and Lindsey decided to have their wedding at The Fields at Eighteen Ninety. This is the newest addition to Eighteen Ninety, which if you haven’t checked out yet — you need to. Last year we shot this gorgeous wedding at their Farm House and White Barn.
There were so many parts of the day that I loved, that I thought I’d list them all out.
-I loved that the brides got ready together and helped each other with zipping up their gowns, and putting on each others jewelry.
-The grounds of the venue are so picturesque, so we had so many options for photo locations.
-The couples friend officiated, which brought another level of intimacy and personality that only a friend could bring to the ceremony.
-Hot Apple Cider was on hand to sip on while the couple exchanged their vows.
-There was a freaking EAGLE that flew over head just after they kissed. That has to be a sign of good luck.
-In lieu of a wedding cake, the couple opted for PIES. mmmmmmpies
-They had a pretty packed dance floor — with Grandma leading off the conga line!
-And a sparkler send off to boot!
Thank you Elaine and Lindsey for letting us spend the day with you. We had such a great time, and it’s been so good getting to know you both.
