You might remember Evin and Jackie from their beautiful Weston engagement session. We have really enjoyed getting to know these two better over this past year. We actually met two years ago when we shot this gorgeous wedding in Taos, NM.
Jackie & Evin chose to have their wedding take place in the beautifully historic, The Elms Hotel and Spa. I actually grew up, just up the road from The Elms. We would spend every Christmas Eve at The Elms for their glorious seafood buffet. My mother worked as a massage therapist for several years in their spa — she’s got some (ghost) stories to tell. Needless to say, The Elms holds a very special place in my heart and I was so excited to shoot there again.
The weather may have not been bright and sunny, but that’s okay because sometimes, overcast is actually better for photography. We were able to get a few shots outside before the wind and rain started pelting us sideways. Thankfully Evin and Jackie were super laid back and just rolled, I mean laughed with it. And, because the interior of The Elms is gorgeous, we just continued on inside, by the fire. 🙂
Jackie and Evin were in great hands on their wedding day, between the super accommodating staff at The Elms, they also had Derrick from Levity Events and they even brought Sami LaForce out of “retirement”.
But hands down, my favorite part of the day was watching Evin + Jackie interact with each other. Both of them looked radiant, and it was an honor to share this day with them.
