Laurie use to be a photographer, and one of her jobs lead her to a nearby college campus. It just so happened to be the same college Nan was attending. Their paths crossed, sparks flew, and the rest, as they say is history.
This was 34 years ago.
During those 34 years these two women have built a beautiful life together. They built their dream ranch, with their beloved dogs and horses. They are blessed with loving family and friends but one thing was missing — an official marriage license.
For most of their lives together it was illegal for them to get married and publicly show their love for one another. ( I will never understand why anyone would want to punish anyone for loving someone.) And they could of easily just gone to the courthouse after 2015, but the couple wanted to really celebrate it right. So on September 8th, the couple had a gorgeous and intimate ceremony with their nearest and dearest — and oh, how they celebrated! So. Much. Dancing! It was such a fun night.
THANK YOU NAN + LAURIE for choosing us to document your big day. We have loved getting to know you both and we are so happy that you finally tied the knot. xomo
