This year marks my 15th year in the photo biz. FIFTEEN. How is this possible? I guess the old cliché is true: Time flies when you’re having fun. Within those 15 years, I’ve collected some cool clients along the way. Those clients have morphed into friends and I’ve been working with some of them for so long, they start to feel more like extended family.
Case in point. Meet the Wagners.
I met Chris and Robyn back in late 2011/early 2012. And they took us to New Hampshire to photograph their wedding. It was beautiful!
And then in 2014, they added a new addition, Cora.
Year after year, I was invited back into their lives to tell the next chapter.
To say, I’ve been honored to photograph this family, would be an understatement. It’s been an absolute joy to get to stay in touch with them and of course, to watch their daughter grow.
One thing that Cora has always loved, ever since she was teeny tiny, was animals; specifically the Giraffe. She’s never met a bug or creature that she didn’t like, or want to take home and add to her collection. So what better place to celebrate her fourth cycle around the sun, but the Kansas City Zoo. In the entire 15 years of shooting, I’ve never shot a session at The Zoo until this year. . . and I’ve been there three times. (ONE, TWO and this one).
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Wagner family for letting me tell your story. xomo
