The Monday after Thanksgiving, Britt and Derrick were married in the living room of her fathers home. Britt had a gorgeous sequined gown from BHLDN accented by gold jewelry and a lovely bouquet from Flowers by Emily. Derrick looked very dapper in his suit, and wait till you see his socks–Pendleton National Park Special Edition: Crater Lake. This detail, albeit simple, was an homage to their home, where they met and a reflection of one of their favorite things to do together — camp, hike and visit our National Parks. I also loved the personal touch of their wedding bands. Both were family heirlooms of Britt’s; her’s belonged to her Great Grandmother and his belonged to her Grandpa. My favorite part of the day was the opportunity to spend some one-on-one time with the two of them, and even though we had just met that day, there was an immediate sense of familiarity. They both were welcoming, down-to-Earth and you’ll see by the photos they have the most infectious laughs. Not to mention, they are obviously head over heels for each other. Thank you Britt & Derrick for letting me be part of your day I’m so glad our paths crossed. 🙂 xomo
