Rachel and Gavin are two of the most kind, thoughtful and creative people that I’ve ever gotten to work with. Both are performers, and self-proclaimed “Mousketeers”. Both are passionate about maintaining strong relationships with friends and family, no matter the distance between them.

This wedding was truly out of a Disney fairytale book, and I’m so happy that I got to document it.  There were lots of highlights from the day, and I’ll get to those in a second. But first, let’s take a roll call. 🙂

 I love that Rachel & Gavin got married at St. Johns, because not only did her parents get married there, but her grandparents did as well.







  Meanwhile, across town the guys were getting ready.









 Gavin had lots of good help. 🙂















 Such a sweet First Look! I love that Rachel wanted to do this on the front steps, overlooking KC in the distance.











 There were Mickey Mouse ears hidden throughout the day. . see if you can spot them all. (check out Gavin’s socks!)







 This bridal party was so incredible to work with. Most of them were preformers as well, so they had some great reactions — like this one. This was the first time the bridal party saw Rachel and Gavin together. Swoon.

 If you’ve never been to St. John’s. . . they have their own private club house that’s attached to the church. And in the club house is their very own private bowling alley. This made for some really fun photos!























 Since Rachel lives out of state, I had been communicating alot with her dad. And it was so nice to finally put a face to his voice! He’s such a sweet man, and he was beaming with pride all day long. 🙂





 This ring belonged to Rachel’s mom. Unfortunately she passed away, and eventhough she wasn’t physically there. . . I know that she was in spirit. Rachel thoughtfully included her mom in a lot of the details of the wedding day — including bubbles. More on this later.







 I thought the stained glass had a strong Mickey Mouse resemblance.

 I think this was the first and only wedding that had a choir perform during the service, and it was absolutely amazing.

 Actual Disney Princesses attended Rachel & Gavin’s wedding. 🙂

 Knowing that Gavin was a performer, I was hoping that he’d be able to do this move. . and he didn’t disapoint!



 Each table was named after a different ride or part of the Disney Theme Parks. Such a cute touch!

 I was hoping Johnny Depp would make a cameo. . . nope.











 As I mentioned before Rachels mom has passed away, but she still had a place at the table…. and our hearts.

 Gavin’s mom was also unable to attend, but was there in spirit as well.

 And did I mention they got married on May the Fourth? That’s right. . . May the Fourth be with you!

 Bubbles. There were bubbles everywhere, out of the blue. Bubbles was also Rachel’s mom’s nick name.









 This flower girl had me cracking up all day. What is it with kids and licking windows? LOL

































 I love that Rachel incorporated so many Croatian wedding traditions. It really got people up, moving, interacting and drinking—well, taking lots of shots. 🙂
